Hi there,

Well, we are here and we are excited!

And our first topic is close to our heart. We also hope to help those of you who want to learn a bit more about Organic Fibers and GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) Certification.

You've probably know that “Organic Textiles” is safer for you and the planet. If you would like to explore a little further, please keep reading. (Before we move on just keep in mind that not all organics are created equal. We'll talk more about that in the coming weeks).

Below are several facts about GOTS Certification & Organic Textiles (clothing, home textiles, and personal care products) that we would like to share with you:

What is GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard)?

The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is recognized as the world's leading processing standard for textiles including clothing, home textiles, and personal care products that are made from certified organically produced raw materials.

GOTS has an international working group with representation from US, UK, Japan and Europe.

What does GOTS Certified mean?

GOTS certification includes strict environmental and social criteria for operations along the entire textile supply chain. And briefly, it means GOTS certified products are not only only sustainable but also ethically produced.

GOTS is recognized globally and growing strong since its first inception in 2002 during Intercot Conference in Germany.

Why is Organic better for you?

Organic means no nasties and you’re protected. Organically produced goods have no harmful residues and you will not be exposed to harmful chemicals, dyes etc.

When you think of the “big picture” we are all in it together (us, the environment, the farm workers and those who make your goods)  and everyone is protected. The farming and manufacturing process is done without using hazardous chemicals which is good for everyone involved and the environment!

What does GOTS Certification mean for you?

GOTS certification means "piece of mind" for you. Certification by a third party reputable organization is accurate and trustworthy when compared to self-claims by corporations.

Get connected and we’re thrilled to help you during your parenthood journey!
